Application checklist
How to prepare a university application after high school
A strong application is not about sending identical documents everywhere. Check the published requirements for every programme, follow its own timetable and verify each detail before you submit.
Your checklist before applying
- Clarify your study plan. List programmes that fit your academic background and the subject you want to study.
- Open the official source. For every option, review the conditions published by the institution itself.
- Record the required documents. Transcripts, supporting evidence, statement, language proof or other documents may differ from one programme to another.
- Track every stage. Registration, submission, examination, interview and response each have their own date or procedure.
- Check before submitting. Confirm the requested format, the information entered and the completeness of your application.
- Keep alternatives. An institution makes the final decision, so keep several realistic options that fit your plan.
Use published requirements, not assumptions
Useful information should come from the institution’s published procedure, timetable or official page. If a criterion is not stated, it remains unpublished: do not infer it from an old forum post or one person’s experience.
ViaCursus helps you organise this comparison according to your profile. It identifies what is published, what should be checked and what may need extra preparation.
Preselection is different from final admission
Meeting a preselection condition or being invited to an examination may open the next stage. It does not mean final admission. Each university or school retains its own process and decision.
